The Allied Social Science Association is excitedly gearing up for their annual convention to be held from January 6th to January 9th, 2011 in Denver, Colorado. Since 1923, when the association was formed, it has grown to incorporate more than 50 associations having to do with economics and related disciplines. In conjunction with over 50 associations in related disciplines, AEA holds a three-day meeting to present papers on general economic subjects. The purposes of the association are:
- The encouragement of economic research, especially the historical and statistical study of the actual conditions of industrial life.
- The issue of publications on economic subjects.
- The encouragement of perfect freedom of economic discussion. The Association as such will take no partisan attitude, nor will it commit its members to any position on practical economic questions.
