Submissions Open for Early Career Excellence in Teaching Evaluation Awards
Have you ever wanted to engage with thousands of individuals from the evaluation community? Perhaps gather for a shared experience to discuss the practice of evaluation itself? If so, look no further than the 32nd American Evaluation Association’s Annual Conference, Evaluation 2018: Speaking Truth to Power.
Evaluation 2018 gathers more than 3,000 evaluators, evaluation scholars, students, and evaluation users from around the world to celebrate, share, and learn from the successes of the international discipline and practice of evaluation. Under the theme “Speaking Truth to Power,” this year’s attendees will engage in a critical discussion of how evaluators take stands and speak out. The event takes place October 31 through November 3 in Cleveland, Ohio.
This year, the American Evaluation Association and the Teaching of Evaluation Topical Interest Group will give out three Early Career Excellence in Teaching Evaluation Awards. Three individuals will receive a $1,500 stipend to attend Evaluation 2018. To qualify for the award, applicants must meet all the following criteria:
- Be within the first 10 years of earning a doctoral degree
- Working full-time as an instructor/professor at a university/college
- Teaching evaluation courses on an ongoing basis
- Have principal investigator-level evaluation project experience
- Demonstrate funding need for Evaluation 2018 travel and attendance.
