Webinar: Academic Freedom Under Pressure – New Survey Data about the State of U.S. Higher Education

Join Sage (the parent of Social Science Space) for a discussion of new survey data from September 2024 through June 2025 that compares faculty sentiment about academic freedom In the United States. This webinar brings together experts in freedom of expression to discuss their experiences and the support systems needed to protect academic freedom.

Panelists are Jonathan Friedman, Sy Syms Managing Director of U.S. Free Expression Programs at PEN America; John Buschman, dean of university libraries and associate provost for research and innovation, Seton Hall University; and Alex Flores Glosson, instruction and research librarian at William & Mary Libraries.
