Roula Masou is an associate professor at ESSCA School of Management. She earned her PhD from Paris-Est University in 2011, with a dissertation entitled “Performance Analysis of Managerial Reforms in France: The Case of the LOLF.” Her research primarily explores performance management, with a particular emphasis on the impact of managerial reforms on the effectiveness of public administration and higher education institutions. Additionally, her scholarly interests extend to academic precarity, innovation, and organizational social responsibility. Masou has cultivated substantial international editorial experience. Notably, she has served as guest editor for Public Management Review, chaired panels at the International Research Society for Public Management conference, organized and presided over the 2019 International Public Management Network Conference in Paris. More recently, she has collaborated with Edward Elgar Publishing.
