Vishwesha Guttal is an assistant professor at the Centre for Ecological Sciences, the Indian Institute of Science, and associate faculty of the interdisciplinary program IMI (IISc Math Initiative). Prior to this he was a postdoc in the group of Iain Couzin at Princeton University. He works in the area of mathematical/theoretical ecology and evolution including collective animal behavior focusing on the evolutionary aspects, and spatiotemporal patterns, self-organization and abrupt changes in ecosystems.
