Flourish or fail? Higher education in crisis – the global context

The Higher Education Policy Institute’s Eighth Annual Lecture was given by Dr Jamil Salmi, the World Bank’s Director of Tertiary Education, at the Royal Society in London on Wednesday 23 February 2011. Dr Salmi’s lecture was entitled ‘Flourish or Fail? Higher Education in crisis – the global context’, and he focused on the importance of knowledge, expert thinking and complex communication.
