Emily Beaulieu and Kathleen Searles
Emily Beaulieu is associate professor of political science at the University of Kentucky. Her book Electoral Protest and Democracy in the Developing World examines election-related protests and their consequences for democracy in developing countries. Kathleen Searles is assistant professor of political communication at Louisiana State University. Her interests include news media, campaign advertising, and political psychology, specifically examining the content of partisan news, poll coverage, and the influence of emotional appeals in campaign ads.
