Peter van Bergeijk is professor of macroeconomics and international economics at the Institute of Social Studies of Erasmus University. His most recent book is Earth Economics (Edward Elgar 2013). Shyamika Jayasundara-Smits is a research associate affiliated with the Research Programme Governance, Globalization and Social Justice at the Institute of Social Studies. Her PhD dissertation is In Pursuit of Hegemony: Politics and State Building in Sri Lanka (2013). Linda Johnson is executive secretary of the Institute of Social Studies. Her most recent book is Development and Equity: An Interdisciplinary Exploration by Ten Scholars from Africa, Asia and Latin America, coedited with Dick Foeken, Ton Dietz, Leo de Haan (Brill 2014).
