February 26, 2011 899

The UK Campaign for the Public University is a broadly based campaign initiated by a  group of university teachers and graduate students to defend and promote the idea of the university as a public good. It is open to everyone who shares their aims.

The Campaign is holding a day of workshops at Aston University in Birmingham on 5 March 2011. Topics for discussion will include government reforms to higher education and their implications for the sector, the future of research, and taking the public university online.

Further information will be available on socialsciencespace after the event.
