Neville Morley is professor in classics and ancient history at the University of Exeter in the UK. He the author of several books on ancient history, including The Roman Empire: Roots of Imperialism (2010) and Trade in Classical Antiquity (2007). His latest book is Thucydides and the Idea of History (2014).
