The Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences and Acfas will be co-hosting a free webinar entitled “Publish in English or perish: Challenges and opportunities of French-language research in Canada.” The webinar will take place simultaneously in English and French on Nov. 15, from 1-2pm.
“In times of crisis, the humanities and social sciences inform and guide our response — raising awareness of the issues, analyzing options and helping shape public policy,” according to a new report by Canada’s Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences.
After more six years at the helm of Canada’s Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences, Jean-Marc Mangin has stepped down. Christine Tausig Ford, formerly of Universities Canada,has been named interim executive director.
