Lisa DeFrank-Cole is professor and director of Leadership Studies at West Virginia University, where she holds the Harriet E. Lyon Professorship in Women’s and Gender Studies. Her recent award-winning book with Dr. Sherylle Tan, Women and Leadership: Journey Toward Equity, was printed in 2021. She has also co-edited two additional books with Dr. Tan, Women’s Leadership Journeys: Stories, Research, and Novel Perspectives, published in 2019, and A Research Agenda for Gender and Leadership, forthcoming in 2023. Sherylle J. Tan is an applied psychologist, author, speaker, and leadership coach. At Claremont McKenna College, she is a visiting assistant professor of psychology and director of internships and research for the Kravis Leadership Institute where she provides leadership education and development. She has published several books on leadership with a focus on women, gender, and inclusion. Most recently, her book co-authored with Lisa DeFrank-Cole, Women and Leadership: Journey Toward Equity (2022), received a 2022 TAA Most Promising New Textbook Award.
