21st Century Challenges: Persistent Poverty in Britain

The Royal Geographical Society is proud to announce that they will be hosting an event at part of the not-for-profit discussion series, “21st Century Challenges“, which aims to inform and inspire public audiences, helping them to engage with important issues that face society in the coming decades. The theme for this event is “Persistent poverty in Britain”, in which attendee will discuss the growing threat of poverty throughout the U.K. This public discussion will be held on 2 March 2011 at the Royal Geographical Society in London. The speakers include:

Julia Unwin CBE Chief Executive, Joseph Rowntree Foundation

Discussion will be chaired by Mark Easton, BBC Home Affairs Editor
