COSSA COLLOQUIUM 2012

On Thursday November 29 and Friday November 30, COSSA is pleased to present its Annual Meeting/Colloquium on Social and Behavioral Science and Public Policy.

The meeting will feature presentations by American Enterprise Institute Scholar Norman Ornstein assessing the 2012 elections, a Presidential Address by former Census Director Ken Prewitt on using science in public policy, a luncheon address focusing on obesity research by National Institute of Diabetes, Digestive and Kidney Disorders director Griffin Rodgers,  a panel with congressional staff on the road ahead for science in the 113th Congress, a panel on interdisciplinary research with speakers from NSF, OSTP, and the National Academy of Sciences.  In addition, there will be panels on Case Studies of evidence use in public policy featuring former Assistant Attorney General Laurie Robinson, The Future of Work , Data Opportunities in Child Development and Education, and Broadening Participation in Science.

Early registration deadline ends November 12. Registration fee will increase from $100 to $175 after November 12. Register now to take advantage of early rate!
