Wednesday’s headlines brought us the news that CVS stores will  stop selling tobacco products by October 1st.  As CVS is moving into providing healthcare in addition to drugs, it’s no surprise that Larry J. Merlo, president and CEO of CVS Caremark, said in a statement, “Put simply, the sale of tobacco products is inconsistent with our purpose.”
